Do your students currently learn anything about careers in the creative sector?

One of the objectives of this programme is to work with students who have a keen interest in the screen sector, and to help them see the value in creative, ethical storytelling. We hope they will go on to be ‘future leaders’ across Ireland’s screen sector. With that in mind, do you already have specific students in mind to nominate for participation?

If successful, your school will be sent an audio-visual kit to use for seminars (webcam and microphone). Your school will have to provide a set room for each seminar with a computer and a screen (which won’t change for the duration of the programme). Please confirm this is possible:

By submitting this form, I understand I am committing the designated coordinator and the selected students to:

Mandatory attendance at a 60 minute introductory online seminar with the Atticus Education team

Mandatory attendance at six 90 minute online seminars on the assigned dates with Lord David Puttnam

Mandatory attendance at one 60 minute online tutorial with an industry leader during the seminar course

Watching all six films set by Lord Puttnam and answering questions about them

Mandatory attendance at an in-person ‘graduation’ event at UCC in Cork city in May

I am also committing the designated coordinator to:

Maintaining correspondence and communication with the Atticus Education Team

Locating a suitable room with access to video call equipment on school grounds for all online commitments

Seeking agreement from parents and school principal that students will be absent, if needed, from other school commitments in order to attend seminars.
